Drone pilots are in high demand right now and that demand will only keep increasing in the years that follow. Multiple companies are set to spend over $16 billion on drones in the next 8 years, with advertising agencies, construction, and security firms being among the first.

DroneUP Take Flight, Description: DroneUp is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Flight Operations Team. Project Coordinators use our Mission Matchâ„¢ platform to recruit drone pilots worldwide from our in-app pilot network directory. The Project Coordinator oversees project planning, pilot interaction, mission managing, and deliverables to ensure the job meets all client requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan and estimate new drone service projects using autonomous flight planning software, i.e., DroneDeploy

Recruit new and DroneUp-registered pilots to execute missions across the U.S. through DroneUp's proprietary Mission Matchâ„¢system

Schedule and communicate flight operations with pilots, DroneUp customers, and local site managers

Monitor and support pilots who are actively flying missions, including assisting with airspace approvals, weather, aircraft, mission specification, troubleshooting, and other flight logistics

Requirements:

Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required

Experience with cell tower and power line inspections required

Knowledge of LAANC and manual FAA airspace authorization procedures required

Experience with DroneDeploy, Pix4D, and/or other drone flight software required

This position also requires the following essential functions:

Visual acuity (e.g., needed to prepare and analyze data, to transcribe documents, to view a computer, to read, to inspect objects, to operate machinery

Capacity to reason and make sound decisions

Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company's office or work site

Fingering (e.g., picking, pinching, typing, or other working that uses the fingers)
